Glad you found the cat. I hate it when one of the cats go missing, since they are indoor cats, they have no idea about traffic.Power came back on last night!
Then we realized Ming was missing.Henry cat was acting very oddly, laying around in places he never does, and meowing, which he rarely does, so now we know what that means.
Spend almost an hour searching for Ming outside in the dark, calling and calling. Scooter was doing is best to find her. Ming finally showed upon the patio when we were all up by the back fence... #1 saw a cat up there. She was very cold and ready to come back in. Henry wouldn't leaver her alone all night... kept getting close and sniffing her all over. She doesn't put up with that, but he persisted. Finally she allowed him to lick her ear. I guess that was enough and he took himself off to bed.
Such drama. I was fairly calm until she showed up. Then I realized how bad it would have been if I'd lost her. She and I belong to each other.
Happily the lights were on, I got a hot shower and some warm food. Not worried about food spoiling or the house birds getting too cold. And FLUSHING the toilet without having to lug a bucket of water in from the old tub I filled in the back yard.... what a luxury!!! Fell asleep early, with Ming laying on top of me.
Today the fire was still burning, there was quite a bit more wind, but we kept our power, as did my dad and brother and sis. Looks like things are back to normal for us for the foreseeable future. Hoping we get rain before we get another high wind advisory. Most of the town is still evacuated. Lot of people sleeping in their cars since the emergency shelters are full. Worse because it has turned cold.
Having 3 episodes of high wind in the space of 10 days is unheard of. Created quite a mess, several fires, but no one has died, only 2 firefighter injuries, 40+ houses lost. Not bad considering 2 yrs ago 38 (or so) people were killed and upwards of 800 homes burned, not to mention businesses. They still have to get that fire out. Come on RAIN!!!
hard to tell what it was. thin green cover dirty shellYou are so SENSITIVE.Probably not all the way ripe? Hubs collects them every year from a huge tree near work. The shells are always black and shriveled when he gets them. Or maybe you had a different type... Black vs English walnuts. English walnuts are what are usually sold in the store.
Nugget tries to get out 3xs a day. The other 2 could care less.Glad you found the cat. I hate it when one of the cats go missing, since they are indoor cats, they have no idea about traffic.

Why won't Tom take them? Don't they help keep the tank clean?I Think my plant that lost all the leaves is starting a new leaf. I sure hope so. Says they need iron to turn red. I read where someone used a rusty nail?
Also my male snail is dead and empty shell. Bad angels ! I cant put any babies in that tank and there not big enough to sell/swap. Tom wont take any and I imagine they wouldnt survive winter in my pond.
