Granny's gone and done it again

Pretty birds Camping..

Hi Mare, excited for you and your new coop. Is there anything you are doing different this time to maybe make things better /easier on you that you didnt have before ?

Peeps, Looks like a great bunch you have . Love the frizzled cochin. Sorry for your little oegb . she had some nice color.
Ugg, done eating and now I am sleepy.
Yeah, it was kinda suprising when we got her. She had been raised in a cage in the house all by herself. Our neighbors were chicken sitting her, and then her owner decided she didn't want her anymore, so we took her! Boy am I glad we did, too. She was a character, thats for sure

She bossed our SS cockerel for alomst 5 months. I'd turn around and see this big fat rooster running in terror from aa little gray blur

Canary has personality!!!

Is it sad I wussed out and got a ride in with dh today? lol I don't think my wagoon could have forded the river.

Well, it may have...but either my supplies would have gotten wet or I would have gotten stuck in the mud and lost 1 day (Oregon trail)

Dangit where's my picture adding.
I can see it when I quote your post but WTH is it ? Your road ? I wouldnt want to cross that in a 4w truck. Is it STILL raining ?

that's some nasty weather if ever I've seen it

Hello everyone! I'm sorry I haven't been here lately, we got some really crappy news about a close friend recently, so I haven't had much time for BYC, nor (I admit) did I feel like on being lately. Anyways, I'm back now and look forward to chatting as normal! :) I see a conversation about goat meat going on so I'm going to join in now!
I'll say that I prefer goat to beef any day of the week. It's soooooo good. :drool

ohh you eat it ? whats it like ?

Goat meat is sooooo good! :drool It's a very lean meat, so there's very little fat and it's super duper healthy. Its a really dry meat, so you have to cake on the seasoning to get an actual taste to come out. Basically, it's just a healthier version of beef. You can even make it into little balls like meat balls and it tastes uber good! :)

Granny is Driving Miss Daisy!

My kids play that MIncecraft game.....I use to think it was so dumb but I finally sat down and watched them..
They build houses, buildings, garden....little villages. Its like they are mini architects. Also when the little one plays online he is always placing a sign and types words to other players.....like: This is my house, do you want to help me build a barn?

He is learning and playing at the same time and doesn't even know it!
I love it now!
I used to call it Minecrack, because they were obsessively addicted.

I want to make a quilt for DD's room. These are the patterns I'm looking at.
1.)

2.)

3.)

4.)

I'm partial to #4.
Well now we need a tiebreaker!
#2 for me! I like it because it would use up so many of my little scraps, but would be more time consuming. A little care with your colors could make it look like #4, but with a little more complexity.

I will be the stereotype!

Well, sometimes I will, because you never know, I might change my mind!

ditto but you can see where the body confirmation and horn growth/style comes from Strong genes
I was thinking how much they look alike. Porter still seems more humpy, but maybe not quite as beefy. Could be an age difference, but horns are similar size.

Quote: No, honey! It means you are being random. My son does it to be funny.

Or sometimes to interrupt a conversation because he's bored.

Hey all, just popping my head in real quick - miss chatting, just been a busy couple of days and have some stuff going on.......sun is finally shining here and is supposed to stay clear until Saturday, so might get the boys out in the yard to start doing some measuring and planning....think we might be able to start building by the first of the month
fl.gif
....I've made them promise to keep it simple and not overthink/overbuild this time so hopefully it won't become a long, drawn out process as I'd really like to pick up chicks by the end of February at the latest. I've needed this - giving me something positive to look forward to and focus on!

Been seeing all the wild weather going on and thinking of those of you in those areas - hope everyone is safe, warm and dry!
Little bit of sun now in between the showers. We have to wait until Thurs for clear skies, and the weekend should be good! Hope your coop construction goes well. Going to feel so great to get that started and then get your new chickens!!

Not wussing out... using your brains! So many people have been caught in high water this year. There have even been a couple of deaths in the bay area. Better safe than sorry!

Minecrack.

It is actually a fun game, I play occasionally myself. It helps me build upon my very limited architectural skills.

I've been upping my houses lately. From your typical two-story to mansions. I have only one complaint about the whole game

the chickens look like ducks!!!!!

Quote:
They do look like ducks! My son and a couple of friends spent a long time building a very intricate village. Then some other kids somehow came into the village and destroyed it.

I don't know how it all works, but thought that was pretty terrible. Have you ever had problems like that?
