Morning jane , hows your back ? Never heard of making biscuits from walnuts. You ground them into flour ?

Dh had salad & boiled eggs for his 9 pm snack. Almond biscuits were better than walnut biscuits. Walnut tastes like cookies without any sweetner. I have walnuts & pecans in freezer. Almonds cost $2.37 for 2 oz.

Yes in blender. Back is same but favoring it is making my left hip hurt way worse. Pain has not gone all the way to my toes yet like it did months ago. Hard to get comfortable to sleep & hurts to stand still.

I am ok. No tree fell on my house last night. Seems quiet out there this morning.

I had a busy day yesterday took a friend from church for short stay procedure. Took up most of the day. Went to get her prescriptions and I had to have her ID for the norco. Had to drive all the way back and get it.
Then in evening my husband and fellow church member went and gave her a blessing. I went and bought her soup for dinner. It was scary driving out there. One road had a tree down across the road.

Today I agreed to work so if it's slow I can get back on and talk.

Have a good day. Granny just get everyone together and say a prayer and start this day over.

Jane your cooking sounds good. When I get back on I will tell you some of the things I have been cooking.

unfortunately I live in MS

I am actually really good with younger kids ironically enough, can't stand kids my age at all. I am use to being the care taker by nature, personally I don't want kids but I like helping others. Sometimes I spread myself thin but it sometimes worth it. Ironically enough I end up with friends online coming to me for advice, specially when I never dated and they wanted romance advice

ATM my career path is simple, welding, bovine and caprine AI with dairy goat judging. Going to look for a decent part time job for benifits. TSC locally have stated they would hire me in a heart beat and had the local Cato ask if I would like to apply...need to work on driving first

With a goal like welding have you ever thought about going towards the coast to the shipyards? As a woman you'd have that advantage regarding hiring as they do look to "diversify" their workforce in those areas.
Oh, how I miss CATO!!! That was DD and I's favorite place to shop when we lived in Indiana -- alas, they aren't out here

That was another reason I wanted deep liter. I wanted to build up so it would drain better . It has helped some but dont expect miracles.

For drainage issues like that the DLM needs to go over top of a drain system - replicating not just the forest floor effect of the DLM, but the drain field system of good soil (which IN does not have, lol) -- essentially a couple layers that are made up of larger piece rock, finer piece rock and then the layers of litter so that there are spaces below the litter layers for the water to work down into in addition to being "sponged" by the litter.
it was the peat that helped the most with all the sand in it but it has its own odor thats not pleasant . and hard to walk on. The shavings on top of that worked ok. Straw/hay is the worst thing to use.

You're really trying to replicate a forest floor - so leaf litter, grass clippings, some wood based materiel, etc -- none of which is readily available at the store which is why most end up using shavings, peat, straw, etc. Remind me, granny, are your trees around your house leafy or needled? If leafy, this fall send CB out to rake up leaves, bag them and store them in the pole barn to be used to add layers to your litter as needed - or even put out a "we'll pick up your bagged leaves" ad on the BST page to get some more leaves.

Thank you ! I can use all the hugs I can get. I cant figure out this bator . maybe its my stock.

Any local friends that incubate that might be willing to throw a couple of your eggs in their next setting to see if they hatch more successfully in a different incubator?
I finally found someone that wanted two more Roos yesterday. One to go. I was going to keep him but he is getting louder each day.

That's awesome, danna, hope you find the little guy a home soon!

So glad you came through unscathed!

Morning - grey and rainy here today.....good day to stay inside and...........that's the problem, have a long list of things I want to get done but ZERO motivation to do any of it

Animals apparently have the same issue, all three curled up in various places around the room, snoozing the day away. Maybe a shower will help.....
