yup, feel back asleep and just up. Tom is doing all the chores . i think he dont like us sleeping all day.

3 chicks, all sticky. this last one was stuck to the wire floor. pretty sure one polish has a pip. whoopie one. My legs are swollen, gotta have something to fuss about right ?

bbbbbbbbut there are time whennnnnn it's just not covienient to fold laundry like when your in the middle of a good conversation here or the middle of a good show. AND with a little work I am sure I could come up with more excuses.

LOL - middle of a good show is when I get all my folding done, if I'm going to be sitting down watching t.v. I might as well accomplish something.

''Twas just a muddy tromp to the coop this am. Nothing too crazy. The creek is up though and I shudder to think what the duck pond that flows across the road the other way is going to be like.

They had new Bebe chicks at the feedstore yesterday. Some white leghorns...and some other breeds of interest.

Another feed store in town had a sign. Buy four chicks get a free bag of chicken feed.

I mentioned that to the hubs. "You have eight"

This time of the year is SOOO hard for us chicken addicts, temptation EVERYWHERE -- DH and FIL need to hurry up and get my coop done, I'm running out of cat and dog food and there is not one place that I can get the kinds I use that does not have chicks right now.............I don't want to hear them or see them until I can BUY THEM!!!!!!

Just got back from running a couple of errands, stopped by the store to say hi to DH and FIL and made a payment on our account there --- and then DH took me out to show me an order of metal roofing that a customer ended up not taking so the store is stuck with it - just so happens to be a color that will work for the coop *and* we can get it at cost, SCORE!!!! They don't have the PVC fitting in the size I need for the feeder bucket so I guess I'll just "have to" make a trip to Wilco (farm store) --- think I'll put that off until DD is here and we are ready to go chick shopping, the babies won't be able to use this feeder anyway, so I have some time before it "has" to be put together.
Supposed to rain the next three days (DH's days off) so no major progress to be made on the coop as far as getting it outside, reassembled, siding on, etc but they are going to work on the roof trusses, framing for the nest boxes, etc. DS will be home Monday so he gets to actually help with some of the building, he's been a bit bummed that it's been happening on the days DH and FIL are off but he is in school.
Tuesday I think DH and I are going to ride into Portland with his folks - FIL has an appointment at the VA so it's a good excuse for DH to go along and get himself all registered and setup with the local facility out here too.....and a good opportunity to spend the day just doing what we moved out here to do, spend time with family.

Sounds like a good few days for you mare. a dream come true for you . I am happy for you.
I just hurt my freaking shoulder. bent over picking up a chicken and hit my shoulder on a gate latch. Thats gonna leave a bruise. LOL
Found something easy for dinner, hot dogs and baked beans .

16 eggs today. 9 yesterday. Beautiful day in the neighborhood. Got to go to wallyworld to get blood sugar meter. Cabbage, green peas & smoked sausage for lunch. Gd is here since dd is feeding cows today.
