well, here’s my most recent art piece. I don’t work with blue pens often, but somehow thought parakeets had to be blue. There’s supposed to be a perch but once I got to the feet I was honestly just ready to call it doneView attachment 3420107

I don’t know why these rescues sink so much money into dogs that can’t be rehabbed. Some stuff you just can’t change.

I…sadly agree with this. You see so many dogs “rescued” that have zero quality of life…it’s insane.

I mean I’ll be honest. I felt bad when I was putting peach down because I felt like somewhere someone would have put all the money and care to her. (Logic tells me she was an old girl and body (hips!) was starting to fail before cancer even happened…). There’s a rescue nearby that deals with older dogs. Some of the dogs that they keep going…blows my mind.

Nope. Sorry, I do not agree with his methods, especially with dogs like that.

I don’t trust these rescue places. They are all about making money, not in it to help animals

A lot of them are. I honestly wonder how many of them are off the books puppy mills of their own…

Not always. Dr Jeff, Rocky Mt Vet, out of Denver, CO, rescues animals from puppy mills that are about to be destroyed because they are too old to be placed. As far as I can tell, he doesn't pay anything for the animals he rescues. He takes them back to Denver, spays and neuters them, microchips, vaccinates, socializes as needed and then places them for adoption. He doesn't seem to make any money doing it and is ALL about helping the animals. He does this all over Colorado and in other states as well.

Nope. Granny, I love you but…you aren’t a spring chicken. Tom…isn’t either. Potential for getting hurt by a bigger dog - either by malice, fear, or sheer exuberance/zoomies….
