Granny's gone and done it again

Camping, that is an awful lot of work for one person. I bet the families had fun. You should be proud of yourself. :hugs
One of our former staff (all grown up and working in ministry) did the lion's share of the work yesterday. He had delegated different churches to be in charge of the various "stations," so they raised their own volunteers. Then he coordinated the sections and activities and kept the schedule. I really only had to be concerned about my petting zoo, and sending around the few volunteers that I had. Once my BFF got there with food and coffee I was much calmer. I guess she's my service animal.
Everyone needs a service animal. I was thinking you did the lion's share of the fundraising and feel the responsibility for the final amount more than the others. You never know with fundraising events...
Mornings Boys are off to do the grunt work while we sit and enjoy coffee. Its still chilly out but sun is shinning so hoping for a better temp. Eggs are in the bator . I think I told that already. LOL Camping, sounds like you did good to me. .
:thumbsup Lisa's husband is a good influence!
Cinder is a mama! Looks to be pure HRIR, for now.
What a cutie! and Cinder can raise an only chick no problem. Both my Orps from the breeder are broody, but no chicks for them. No room!
You got me  I do feel like I could've done more to get more. That hona egg is still cooking! Not sure how far behind it is, maybe a day or two. Looks pretty full. :fl

1 dead baby silkies. Got under the paper & shavings & smothered. Got their little pen cleaned. 21 eggs from 26 hens! Came home from church to find 4 puppies who didn't have sense enough to get outta the rain. Put them in the carrier & fed them.

Saw a red mite on the light cover in silkies pen this am. Does sevin dust kill them? Are they too little to use it in their pen. I have diatomaceous earth. Will that do it by it's self?

It was so good to see granny and her family .lisa and rod again too...They mean the world to me..i love all them and feel like family and felt at home..Granny has a broody hen that kills her babies so granny gets them when they hatch and takes them in..one hatched when she was showing me,she reached it to me and i put it in my coat pocket.well i took it with me when i left, she cried all the way to lexington..i didn't know if she was cold or hungry or what was wrong..DD's landlady has mother hens so she put it under one and all was ok..she told me just come and get it when i was ready to go..i went in her coop this morning and it was dead she had got out and was under a tarp..

Ohhh Danna! I'm so sorry. One of my baby Cochins got stuck in the crevice of out dog box that momma Fro is in. I though it was a mouse until I got closer and seen feathers and not fur. I should have some Cochin babies soon if they were fertile if you want some
