Camp he's pretty!

I have 2 sexed leghorn pullets that are almost 3 weeks and have huge slightly pink combs and wattles. And they fight. Pretty sure they are boys. Mom had picked me up 3.

Question??.... I have a momma Cochin that poops like it's a dogs poop. Is that normal?

All this positive sussex talk... I better get into town and see if they have any left!

ah bummer. The sussex chicks were gone. Nothing else there old enough to put in with the others. I will give it another week and see if the Lorp's wattles grow more or start going pink. They did have some cuckoo Marans chicks... if I have to, I can raise chicks separately for a couple of weeks and combine them with the other 2 when they feather out. There is still hope that the Lorp is a female, but I would be surprised.

Are you talking size or shape/color/consistency? If your hen is broody, they usually only get off the nest once a day and the poops can be massive. Smelly too!

Thanks for the offer, h2o. They are very cute. I am HOPING that the Lorp is a pullet, so I won't need another when I introduce them. The 2 I have now are about 3 wks.

I found a teensy brown egg in the box underneath Cinder. I think it might be a banty egg!
