Yeah, the labs do look pretty good for an old guy. Normal to run a slightly lower RBC, etc count as we age and his aren't drastically low.
Maybe the lower white count is because he is on antibiotics? Sorry, thinking with my fingers again.
Be a bull dog sweetie. Latch on and don't let go till they get to the bottom of it. You are doing a wonderful job of being an advocate for him. Just to remember that you need to take care of you also.
I know you have Nancy coming in but have you ever had a visiting nurse for Tom? And for yourself also. The Dept of Aging has a lot of programs that may be of help for you. If you haven't looked into them I highly recommend doing so. We all need a little help every now and then, especially when we get older.
Tonight, after gathering eggs, I brought the food buckets along with today's whole sum of 5 eggs up to the house and set them near the driveway before I went out to the road to offer DH moral support getting rid of the possum which was on it's way to becoming very stinky. Got back and saw our Buck (border collie hound cross) boy laying in the grass licking something. Stinker had been helping himself to eggs I'd left in one of the buckets. I asked him if somebody had given him permission to help himself and then said, no, but I knew you would let me have them mom because I went out with you and helped guard the chickens while you were feeding! He's such a good boy. Can't bring myself to chastise him too much and yep, he usually gets an egg every night for 'helping' Mom out. He lays outside the gate watching for any birds to escape when I go in and out. Can't stop a Border Collie from doing his job even if he does have hound in the mix.
Heading for the showers, all. Tomorrow is musical doctor's appointment day with more on Friday. Oh. Joy.
Beautiful couple. I got photos of my family..her family..that is now living in Mexico. Next week her brother is getting married.
