I remember my first grade teacher's name was Mrs. Fenton. She was a big, big woman. In my class was a girl named Emaline Thompson. Poor Emaline, Mrs. Fenton didn't seem to like her. There was a janitor's closet connecting our classroom to another and Mrs. Fenton had Emaline in there every day giving her a spanking. Emaline must have hated coming to school.

I hate to hear storys like this. Wonder why the parents didnt step up/ Used to be when you got spanked in school you got another when you got home.

Not if you worked under the auspices of the FBI. I entered federal warrants so needed to access their information, the state information, our own information, so there were 4 passwords needed just for that job alone. Entering warrants was only 5% of my job. The rest needed more programs to be used, so more passwords. I had a lot of pets, and used them and my way of doing them so it made it easier for me.

Crazy for sure. I wished they'd get more of that thumbprint or retinal scan stuff going so we'd not even need passwords. Some of our doors had those.

We just had a special snake avoidance class with my dog club. Rattlesnakes. They needed to keep the ground wet so they would stay active. I thought rattlesnakes liked dry hot weather.

My middle name is Alton, pronounced Al-ton but she would scold me for pronouncing it that way and tell me it's pronounced All-ton. My dad was a no nonsense kind of guy so he went and had a chat with her and I never had any more problems over it.

My dad was a no nonsense kind of guy so he went and had a chat with her and I never had any more problems over it.

Thats awesome news! My mom always stuck up for us girls. I remember her going after one of my teachers over not letting me go to the bathroom. She told me next time I had to go dont even ask. Just walk out and I did and that woman never said a word.

I was in parochial school for a couple of years. When I went home and told my parents that Sister Mary Ann beat my fingers with a stick, they pulled me out, and I went to a one-room schoolhouse for the 2nd grade until the next year they got buses to haul us to public school.

I got that once too. Hurts huh? She bent my fingers backward and smacked them bones sticking up because a lot of the kids didnt do their homework. I did but we all got it. The other time I got it I guess I had it coming. Teacher called us up to the chalk board and told us which math homework problem to post there. Of course The one I got I didnt do because I didnt understand it. I was copying it from the boy next to me and got a smack on the tail end for it. Didnt hurt. He just lightly hit me.
