Granny's gone and done it again

IMHO dew claw removal is a MUST have seen what happens when not removed. And the docking thing is an AKC requirement which some are trying to get removed. Personally I like about 2/3 or 1/2 of the tail left, leaves them enough tail to use as a "steering rudder" but not so much that the tail is covered/caked/coated in burrs and such.
 
ALL I can say is there had better be a litter of puppies in MY house in the next year or year and a half. between 2 intact males and three females. And then I get to keep a female all my own to have and to hug and to squeeze and get puppy kisses and breath from

I agree. I like the tail long on some but if it's a working dog unless you kept the tail buzzed it would be a mess.
Honestly the pups "scream" more and louder when removed from mother's "
dinner plate" then when the tails and toes are done.

I've seen a few tail and dew removals in the clinic. They almost always bring Mom along and usually when it's snipping time Mom has to go on a long walk.
