I got a silkie because of the rugrats begging me... Surprisingly, he has all his brains about him and is a fantastic flock protector.

I cook everything. But no kids on the weekend. Staff made potato soup for everyone! :yesss:

I'd have pegged you as mid 20s 'cos of the photos I've seen of you.

Nah, it has happened, it's just rare.

Banty, your silkies do ok in harsh weather ?
They do fine. I don't baby them---even -40 temps don't bother them, or if it does, not enough to kill them. No heat, they just got their neighbour's feathers to cuddle up to.
