Skimmed to catch up. Down 13 birds!

The lady came for the 6 free roos in the dinner club. Her DH had a brain injury and spends his time sitting out and watching the birds they have on 10 acres. They asked if I had any babies (because they saw the broody) and I showed them the tractor juvies. They took all 7 for $20!

That was good karma.

Is Halloween city near where you live? Are you guys expected to get hit too?

Yes, that is the city we live in -- fortunately all of the Halloweentown stuff is in "old town" which is on the other side of town from where we live so we could go see it if we wanted to, but don't have to deal with any of it.

So, just got back from job interview #3 in the great job search of 2016 --- REALLY liked this place/the job so I'm

to hear back from them.
Got a bug up my tush yesterday and instead of just covering the greys (that seem to grow in faster each time, beginning to think they feed off of hair dye

) and went with a little bit of a funky tone this time -- it's Ruby Noir, so like a black cherry kind of color --- totally digging it. Anyway, stopped by to see MIL at her work last night, she took one look at it and said, "I think you need to find a job" -- *almost* took it the wrong way, but she did go on to say she liked it. Already eyeballing a similar color but with underlying tones of purple rather than red, so she might be on to something.......I'd show you a picture of the color, but it looks best in the sun and we aren't going to see that for at least another week at this point.

Finally caught up. Probably gonna be a daily thing. Konner be careful with stairs. No rail? Hawk been flying around garden & yard for 2 days. All but 5 roos &2 free loading old hens are locked up tight. Pork chops, scollaped tators, peas & carrots and biscuits for lunch-supper. Dh complained because no sweet tea.
