It wasnt without the HA because I have already had several. This one was worse and caused more damage. I smoke, I dont have anything to say about it . it is what it is. Heredity is a big factor as well. No cardio because of my bones. Just gonna live til I die. That's a tough one. Getting water out to them in winter was hard even without the HA. If you could figure out an easier watering system, then I bet you could manage, especially if you were down to just one pen... maybe 2. And they would be good motivation to get you off your duff! The Orps will handle the cold no problem. Not sure about your littles, although you've had some of those seramas for a long time. Maybe the smooth feathers ones can keep warmer. Maybe you can broker a deal with Robert for help. Tell him you will leave the house to him one day if he helps, but if he doesn't, you will leave it all to the Help Homeless Chickens Society. (And here's where I need that flappy hen smiliey)
I was against calling, but didn't want to say too much in case granny though I was heartless.
Sweet dreams, Papa!
Yeah, I remember. Hose is way too much work for you in the winter. Maybe use some gallon milk jugs filled with water and have Robert pull them out over the snow in a wagon or on a sled, then you can refill the waterers. you should be able to lift a gallon in a few months. maybe?water hose is a 100ft to drain.
Without you, his check would be going to rent and he'd have nothing for the future, so he can work a little for it. Besides, you are woman... you reserve the right to change your mind!Already promised this house to Robert as his check is helping to support us
We have one of those. I was using it on flies in the garage. In the dim light, I could see the spark when one got zapped.GS has ab electric bug swatter Cracking me up . Them poor moths that snuck in dont stand a chance
ZAAAAPPPP !!
Can't we misbehave just one night Papa?Past my bedtime y'all play purity now
I am so jealous! The feed stores don't sell chicks at all this time of year here. Still no chickens for the guineas to follow. You didn't pick me up any?We never have anything like that.
I used to use those cat litter jugs for water in the winter. Green tea comes in nice heavy duty jugs that are a gallon and they would hold up better than milk jugs. How many pens of chickens do you have, granny?Yeah, I remember. Hose is way too much work for you in the winter. 2 big pens . One little cage. I just took Camping and Lisas chickens out of the serama coop and added them to the big coop. 13 juvies leaving all the seramas and babies in the smaller coop.I used to use those cat litter jugs for water in the winter. I don't think you should carry it. I thought Robert could do the heavy lifting, and you could do the coop work since he can't be around the chickens. If you need 20 gallons in winter, that's too much. Maybe cut back I guess.I can carry a gallon or 2 of water . Been giving them about 20 gallons total this summer every other day. LOL
