Granny's gone and done it again

Morning, I have grand plans of cleaning today.  Im sure half of it wont happen. LOL
I DID dream of swimming in the ocean !  except zombies were chasing me into it and then there were water zombies.  sigh, I very much dislike halloween and the movies that come with.

Merzombies!! Yikes!

Morning all. Just lots of rain in thunder. Lots and lots of rain. No wind as of yet. I call that a win!
So glad you've come through well so far!!!! I hope that holds true through the weekend when the brunt of it hits.

The winds, as I understand it, are to be a bigger concern Saturday ---- news said someone local had reported 3 inches of rain in their rain gauge since yesterday, but I'm thinking that's a bit high for what actually fell. The wind is what is worrying me -- there is a cedar tree in the side yard that NEEDS to come down. When we were looking at the house I had commented about it not looking good and the landlords mentioned it was not doing well after the drought the last year or two but were hopeful it might still come back...........just in the last two months it has declined even more. Apparently I'm not the only one who has noticed, yesterday the neighbor on the other side of the side yard came a'knocking -- he was very concerned about the tree and impending windstorm. Explained that it was not "our" tree so DH will be passing the concern along to the LL today......would really prefer it not come down as there is only one direction it could go that would not hit our house, his house or the apartments behind us -- and even if it goes the "right" way it'll block the street (we are on a dead end) and take out the power lines.

We have a Red Lobster fairly nearby, but I've only been once, about 25 years ago! It wasn't bad, but I thought is was a bit greasy and most of the seafood had been frozen. Frozen crad should be against the law. No comparison to fresh!

This past weekend during the sister slumber party we all loaded up and made a trip to the coast, and for dinner we stopped at one of my favorite little hole-in-the-wall places where we had the most fabulous seafood. It is so nice to be back here where the seafood is FRESH!

So today is the day we officially find out we probably got outbid on the alien house. Oh well.

Hubs was talking about putting a lowbal offer in on the gross hoarder house. I warned him if he did we'd have a lot of work ahead of us - roof would need doing, bathrooms need gutting, flooring needs replacing...and the layout kinda sucks too. Kitchen would want redoing as well. But it has plenty of yard space for dog, chickens and projects....so at least there's that.

I wouldn't mind doing something like that....if we had toterhome put together that we could live in while we make the house more livable. But we don't....
It sounds like you are none too keen on the house, I hope that things are able to work out in a way that is best for you.

Started raining here at 5am. Big storm that was supposed to blow through is gently moving itself along. Nice steady rain, no wind, no big downpours. Perfect for the first rain of the season, and the trees will be clean!

Not to mention the air!

Yep, two more storms to go. We are getting a cool lightning and thunder storm right now. Those rarely occur around these parts so it's kind of cool.
