The dogs and cats couldn't get in the the bait boxes but the danger was them getting the dying rats. They were easy to catch. The rats wouldn't eat the bait because the chicken food was better. She had to lug the food in every night and find a poison the rats liked.
I will have to see if I can buy that kind here. CA has banned a lot of the poisons and rats get resistant, of all things. Not so worried about my animals, it's the neighborhood cats that will suffer if they get hold of a poisoned rat. Few years ago a fox was in my front yard acting very weird, and I'm pretty sure that's what happened to it.

End of the article. Pretty funny if it wasn't such a possibility these days. People used to be able to disagree and be civil about. it. Those days seem long gone.
I have written this article in good faith, hoping to save others some of the trials we have been through. I would prefer not to receive a ton of hate mail from PETA members who adore their little rat friends or from Naturalist believers who are sure that diatomaceous earth and probiotics can cure rats, rickets, rabies, and a rainy day.

I think it will go well with all the talking you are doing... and you have met before... If you weren't a little nervous, it would mean you don't have the hots for this guy.

Hopefully excitement will prevail over the nerves.
X 2 - butterflies are good, and chances are he's as nervous as you -- just both take a big, deep breath and go where the visit takes you.

Awwwww, what a great picture!

Hey y'all!

I'm home and all caught up.

The consignment shop said they were "at capacity" for buying by the time I got there. Who even knew that could happen!!

I was late leaving and then my neighbor needed helped so that took an extra hour. The sales girl was a little snooty when she said "we're usually at capacity by noon." Even though the flier and website both promise no appointments are necessary, the girl suggested I call ahead so they can put me on the clipboard. Sounds a lot like an appointment...

Anyway, kids still needed clothes so I hopped over to target. With cartwheel and clearance sales I got DD a pair of shoes, jeans, leggings, tights, two shirts, and a dress, and for bubba I got three shirts and a pair of jeans for $112. Not bad for new, but could've done better.

Oh well, had a nice lunch and fun visit with Katie, so a good day overall.

What a bummer that the day turned out that way for you......hate rude service people, sorry you ended up with having your high hopes for the day being flushed down the crapper.....but at least you had a good time with your friend!

My poor little egg collection. I was getting a green or blue egg every day, then only blue and sometimes a little hona egg. Now I'm getting those big brown eggs, and no others.

They were so much prettier in the other picture, lol...........I was really jealous for a minute, then saw that it was just the lighting...........

She is a good writer. Her other stuff is funny also. Maybe I should tell her most people can't read her format

Goodnight!  :hugs
