Granny's gone and done it again

I want to grow shitake mushrooms so i can dry them & always have mushrooms on hand. I have an article on how to grow them on oak logs. When u buy them they only last a few days fresh.

Mushroom logs are big over here - see them listed on the BST pages a lot. I've tossed the idea around quite a bit because DH loves mushrooms but, like you, I get frustrated by how short of a time they stay good when you buy them.

I have greens coming up after the rain & kale & turnip greens coming back from the 2nd time of being eaten by rabbitts. Chard & brussel sprouts too. Seems rabbits like cabbage & greens best.

Who decided we cant buy antibiotics for our chickens anymore ?  I live in farm country and theres not a vet around that treats chickens. I did have one (as a favor) order meds for me once..   Its not like we cant get them , its just going to cost more.

Im starving, I would love to dip my cracker in campings soup. LOL It looks like au jus for the roast beef sandwiches.

The people who decided we shouldn't have access to anything that could possible harm us..
