Ally, someone told me once what to do with staggered hatch. I wish I remembered who. something about putting the eggs that are not ready for lock down in a container with a lid and air holes. Thats what I remember of it anyway.

Kicked me off for a minute too. Rather annoying as it happened JUST as I was trying to open a marek's article to do some research to expand my notes.... Wish it had waited 1 more minute. LOL

Finally got my bator running today. After 10+ hours it was steady at 100.7 by the spot check (at top of egg height), and 97 by the accurite (on the tray). The accurite runs a hair cool, I think. I moved it to the hottest part to see if it goes much higher. I also touched the thermo just a hair. I'll check again to see if it's ready, but likely wait til morning to set.

I sold 8. But my husband wouldn't let me sell the polish.. so I have 5. One is dr Seuss they lay pink eggs..

Well, then he can't very well complain later about the number of birds you have, right?

I would actually love it if my dogs would ruin my bras...then I wouldn't need to make up an excuse to not wear one! LOL

LOL - tell me about it, the best part of every day is when I take that thing off......

Just got back from dropping DD and SIL off at the airport........visit was wonderful, just entirely too short (though anything less than forever would be too short I suppose). Had such a great time with them here, now to start counting the days to the next visit, which I think will be me or us going that direction so as to see their house and get to see what their life in Ohio is like. House sure seemed quiet and empty when we got back......

On a brighter note, all things going as planned, I should be starting a new job on Monday! I'll be working for the local community action agency - this time in the "human investment" division, specifically for the senior citizen programs. I'm super excited about this new chapter, have to go get fingerprinted tomorrow for the DHS check so that's the last hurdle. It's full-time, which is the complete opposite of what we had recently decided I would look for, but it was just too good to pass up.....so here goes nothing, I suppose.
