Mycoplasma can be 'treated' with a whole bunch of drugs, but only one is approved for use in laying hens in the US, and that's tylosin soluble powder. In Canada low doses of oxytetracyline can be used, though it's probably not effective.Which meds?
Pearl needs to know this trick for me.I caught him. Robert already checked the garbage. It didnt run but I guess he had to see for himself. He lined up 5 one gallon jugs of water for 2-2 quart waterers. I let him turn the hose on which really is a mission for us as its a way rom the chickens and hasnt been weed whipped so then he fussed at me about getting the weed whip fixed. Theres nothing wrong with it I took the string out so he wouldnt try. Anyway , they had all they needed but I give them all fresh water anyway. I am soaked in sweat. yuck.

I found a website with a bunch of really neat poultry quizzes. Fair warning, they're tough---I can only answer about half of them, on average. Want to try one?I could do these quizzes all day....
Great way to learn new stuff and to remember it.
