so its cut green then drys and keeps the nutrients ? But he has to replant it every yr ?Well his is land not good enough or to sloped for crop land and TO good for pasture. Mix of alapha and brome and some native grass.
You do NOT want to cut the hay when it is brown as it has lost most of the "good nutritional value" and then is basically good for bedding and filling the stomach.
