Granny's gone and done it again

I dont understand why ya'll are crushing them or cooking them down? I just skin them quarter them add the goodies and finish filling the jar w/ v8. Then water bath.
Cooking them down removes a lot of the water from them. You end up with a more refined flavor.
 
what is that Papa ? I got one of those . Just the top part not the stand. Found it soo many yrs ago and kept it just because it looked old and interesting.

That is not even counting the 10/13 Serama roo's I ended up with from purchasing baby chicks. I'm just a roo magnet I guess :lau
How old were the chicks? You can tell really early on Seramas. Did someone dump a bunch of cockerels on you or was it just bad luck?
