Well, I USED to be! Nurse said something about people with my coloring usually had more pain and problems delivering babies. She particularly mentioned the increased amount of time bleeding after. 8 weeks for me with the first one. yeah, special.

Just told my mom this morning when she stopped for a visit that I felt like a big redwood falling in the forest. She laughed & said she was glad I could still joke about it. The thing is, that's just what I've felt like with these last 2 falls. It was like slow motion, I remember thinking OMG I can't rebreak these wrists & when I hit the ground, I hit it full force & it reminded me as a tree falling in the forest lol.

I was pretty good at staying relaxed when i was skiing and fell. They say it is better to relax than stiffen up when you are going to fall. That's why drunks fall but get back up with nothing broken. Relax.
I used to fall a lot on the farm in TN. Mud, poop, ice, snow, wet grass and goats bumping into you all help you fall. Lucky me, i rarely get hurt when i fall, but i am well padded.

I almost always get hurt, but just enough to be annoying, like my big toe or palm or something like that. I have the same slow motion experience as Lisa. Gives you a long time to dwell on how much it's going to hurt.
