Maybe? Seems it may be more likely to burn. We actually used avocado oil, but it’s awful spendy.

OK was just wondering as I abhor olive oil or olives. Maybe bacon fat

Nope. Tastes like oil. But it has a smoke point of 500* so we use it for searing in the cast iron.

We buy it at Walmart.

granny, go to Youtube and type in oven kale chips. There are a ton of videos. You can get them crispy, but it takes longer at a lower temp. (at 300* for 30-45 mins depending on how much you are making)

Camping, you are inspiring me. Kale chips and avocado oil... haven't tried either, but I'm going to! We have coconut oil and sunflower oil for higher heat, but looks like avocado wins!
