Everything I baked was from scratch, couldn't compete with fake stuff because it didn't have the shelf life & then my health gave out. Had to get out of it. Was working 18 hrs a day, raising 2 kids & doing my own book work for the business.It's you Lisa. I knew there was someone on one of these threads that once was a baker. I managed different bakeries in a chain of bake shops back in the late 60's early 70's. Everything from baked from scratch back then. Now days you empty a bag into a mixing bowl, add water and stir. Don't know how it can truly taste as good.
