I gotta run to the groc shop soon. Grab provisions for dinner and for lunch tomorrow. Hubs has been working in trucks for the rock fire (up near fallbrook) and the cleanup for the pasqual Fire (the one near me on Friday). No rest for the wicked.

She looks like a Silkie cross, with the dark skin and top knot. I would bring her in, but if she's very wild, it might upset her too much to be moved and break her broody. I'd try it anyway. Do you have a dog kennel you can use? Just stick her and the nest in and shut the door. They do better in the dark... maybe wait for sundown? Has anyone advertised a missing hen?

White keet is gone, but I caught the one I thought was dead? It was in the cow shelter and looked like a rat, so I went to check, and it was just a hunkered down keet.
Fluttershy’s eggs are internally pipped! I was going to move her nest today and got lazy, so of course now I’m trying to decide if I still have time. It makes more sense to move the chicks and Marilyn over with the keets, and put Fluttershy down in the broody suite. Of course, since I’m relying on inexperienced help for the next two weeks, it might be better to have them all in one “nursery.” It isn’t snake proof, but I haven’t seen any snakes lately, either.
Briar (Cinder’s sole heir) is finally broody. Her mom was the best, so I have high hopes for her. I’ll sort and mark her eggs tomorrow.

1. I'm not saying let's go kill all the stupid people. I'm just saying let's remove all the warning labels and let the problem work itself out.
2. I changed my car horn to gunshot sounds. People move out of the way much faster now.
3. You can tell a lot about a woman's mood just by her hands. If they are holding a gun, she's probably very unhappy.
4. You know that tingly little feeling you get when you really like someone you've just met? That's common sense leaving your body.
5. I don't like making plans for the day. Because then the word "premeditated" gets thrown around in the courtroom.
6. I didn't make it to the gym today. That makes 1,500 days in a row.
7. I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.
8. Dear paranoid people who check behind shower curtains for murderers: If you find one, what's your plan?
9. Everyone has a right to be stupid. Politicians just abuse the privilege.
Old age is not as bad as I thought. It's a good feeling when you just don't give a hoot anymore and you feel happy just to wake up in the morning
