never ever claimed to be a good speller or typer and I went back and deleted an o
I had pictures in my head of a yak bellying up to the bar and having a cold one. Maybe one of these!

No I am not talking about black and liver. Liver is recessive so you need both parents to carry the gene to get a liver pup. I mean the white markings. Only need one parent to carry the Irish gene.
Maybe the trim gene would be incomplete dominance then. One gene shows as trim, so you know they have it. 2 genes show as a mostly white Royal. Maybe like blue-black-splash. Is that incomplete dominance?

I know a royal x solid = trim

and a trim x solid = trim or solid

and have seen such with Porter and the girls.
trim x trim = could be any of the three types, but chances are 50% for trim, 25% solid and 25% royal.

Should either 19 or Janet actually calve this year, and it's a royal calf then the father is either Tibbits or Nostril. The same with apply next year then the calf is Tibbits' and should either Star or Granny have a royal its Tibbits again. And should Comet have a trim then Tibbits (Comet is the only solid cow I have left) That's in the main herd.

Hailey is also a solid and Curly Sue could be considered a solid (maybe) All the rest of the female calves are trims
