Nice. That will save you some money. them too ! I would cook the old roos down for bone broth. Its so good for you. PITA though. As busy as you are I understand feeding them back.
and the hens could probably use the protein boost.I didnt know you were planning on butchering him.there's probably about 350 pounds of meat on Nostril after butchering. I get all the rib eye's and porterhouse and T-bone steaks. Will share the burger and roasts.

well, I never ate a 3 yr old roo so cant say. All my chickens taste funny.I should have done the chickens last fall BUT ran out of time.
I never cared for his looks. He looks more like a cow .well if I can't/don't sell him before I have enough money for processing that's where he is going. Shame as he is pretty mellow. BUT not the bloodline's of his 2 brothers' and I am already keeping Star's heifer from last year.
