Granny's gone and done it again

No, we just mow to keep it where we want it. Our little joke is we don't have weeds, we have wild flowers. The bees love them and need them, and so do the humm'birds, so we have a truce with them. We tolerate them, but only to an extent. They can't completely take over. I guess the only plant I would truly do battle with is poison iak/ivy, so if your salt mixture works, let me know.

We are having a similar battle with a hummingbird (trumpet) vine, growing up the side of the house and under the eaves. RoundUp ain't doing it.
But salt stays in the soil and kills everything.
