Granny's gone and done it again

They live in a tote in my room. They started getting out so we had to put a cover. I set a towl down on it and let them get out. Here is a bigger picture. They are sunbathing under the heat lamp.

Ahh..that's what I used for my babies I hatched. A big one. I out a wire top on. Had it so that it would slide off and on.
 
Do you switch to a red bulb at night so they (and you) can sleep?

I kept my chicks for the first three weeks, in an unused spare bedroom, but we had two lamps, one containing a white light and the other with a red bulb. It was easy to just switch over every morning and night, and they would settle right down and go to sleep when we switched to the red lamp.

That's pretty much my set up. Unfortunately they decided to quit sunbathing.

This heat lamp has no light at all. It is actually an adjustable reptile lamp.
