Granny's gone and done it again

I think so. We have a town named Knob Lick. Here:

The community takes its name from nearby Knob Lick Mountain. In the Ozarks, knob typically refers to an isolated summit, and lick is a natural "salt lick" or salt spring.
I think I've heard of that.

North east from us in Novelty. Always thought that was kind of a cool name.

sigh I am screwed.
 
I got one lone little egg today. Looks like about the size of one of the young Fayoumi pullets and laid under a roost bar. Those girls just can't get the hang of those nesting boxes. Hopefully when they see the hens using the boxes this spring they will catch on.

My coop is pretty dim right now. I have been leaving the heat lamp on during the day and off at night for safety but had stapled extra plastic over the windows before the frigid weather moved in last week.

Before the one egg I had 0 so one is appreciated. Can't say I blame them for pinching them off.
