Granny's gone and done it again

Ye! Purim is when we dress up to hide our identity for one night, it like Halloween and alot of alcohol is drunk 😅 that obviously is more individual. Synagogues often do a reading of Esther and booing and noise making is done whenever Haman name is said.

Here a good link about it

Thanks. I love the Esther story! What a woman! There might be no Jews today if not for her. She saved a nation. :love:love

Thanks again, I really enjoyed reading the info at that link, Heny! Had no idea you guys cut loose like that. Do you ever watch the cooking show, Girl Meets Farm, with Molly Yeh? She shares a lot of traditional Jewish cooking as well as Chinese food, and sometimes merges them, as she is of mixed heritage. I really enjoy her! She and her family had a little dinner party in their basement with noisemakers which they rattled vigorously every time Haman's name was mentioned! It was really fun and interesting.

The local synagogue puts on a big musical for Purim. It is wonderful. The rabbis wife write a new score every year based on a theme.
