Granny's gone and done it again

Yes, it's just me. I said that to Austin tonight. Told him I was afraid that knee surgery was a possibility. That I didn't want to to be a bother. He gave me that look. lol.. Like mom! Stop already. I know they'll take care of me. It would be him and Bronwyn to do it. Bronwyn can work from home. But, sad thing happening for her mom next week! Brain surgery to remove a tumor. They say it's benign and in the front, easy to remove. Glad the surgeon feels that way. They let it be this past year. Were going to let it go longer but it's growing too fast. Prayers everyone..prayers. I'm just praying that a good ol shot in the knee will work again for me.
❤️🙏❤️ We'll pray for the mom and for the surgeon as well, Cynthia. This world provides a never-ending supply of resons to pray, doesn't it? And we'll pray for that knee, too. I just got one of those shots in my left shoulder. Seems to be helping ... a bit. 😊

Shots in my shoulders helped. Not sure when you had it done. Give it a few days to a week.

I know nobody's here right now. But .. maybe somebody will show up who can help me.

My rooster seems to have lost his crow. Other that that, he seems okay, physically, I mean. Could he be grieving? We had three Dominique hens and had to put one down last week. On Tuesday. She'd hurt her leg a day or two before and was very lame and in a lot of pain. One of Rojo's favorite hens was a Dom, and it may have bern this one, we don't know. But ever since then, he's gone practically mute and normally he's very vocal, starting at least an hour before sunrise and calling frequently during the day. It's one of the things I like about him, and I miss it. Will he get over it? Is there anything I can do to help him?

Is he still eating and drinking?

Do you have plans for Thanksgiving Larry?
Anyone else have plans?
I dont
We always go to a trout farm resort and restaurant about a 3-hour drive from here, called Rockbridge. They have the best smoked trout dishes as well as turkey and all the trimmings! It's buffet and we have reservations already. We do this so nobody can decide to use my house as a gathering place for 30 or 40 of our nearest and dearest relatives to have Thanksgiving here with me as chief host and bottle-washer. Again. Yeah, it's happened before. So we make ourselves scarce. And for that, I am profoundly grateful.

I go for the stuffing and the jello salad I make. ~ Green jello, pineapple, cottage cheese and cool whip. Yumm.
Isn't that Waldorf Salad? Or .... Watergate, maybe?

One of my kids was actally this way, I kid you not. She eventually got over it.
