Granny's gone and done it again

I just found a shrimp in my fish tank. It looks to be just a light grey color. Weird. It’s been years since I bought shrimp and certainly not for this tank and the ones I did buy was either red or blue.

I’ve had greyish brownish shrimpeeZ pop up in my tank. And I had ghosts, cherrys and blue shrimp so…genetics are weird.

I’ll have to take some shots later. Haven’t taken any for a while.

You mean New York City. There are places in New York that are quite reasonable. Upstate New York. New York City has always been very high.

I've done the most napping today in a long long time. Now that I'm up I must get a few things done before I can wander around on BYC. BBL

These hens should start laying Dec 21st. That's when the days start getting longer. It's also been advised here on BYC to add daylight only to the morning and none to the evening. Something about inviting predators to the coop adding light in the night. I don't understand why but didn't take a chance. Timers that control the light are cheap and automatic.

In the past, my hens wouldn't start laying again until about mid-February. I'm going to help them out a bit.

One more coop door to close. The junior mixed group of mutts were slow to get in their coop tonight and I didn't wait on them to do so. I just ignored them and moved on down the line.
