Problem with my GI is that it takes months to get in to see her. I can get into my DO in 48 hours usually.

I'm doing the high dose Prilosec. Danged Medicare part D keeps telling me that I need to take it just once a day and I keep telling them, Look, you aren't my doctor and you don't have my stomach so butt out. When I'm having a lot of problems with Gerd I even take Famotidine at bedtime. What frustrates me is that I have this inflammatory condition in my stomach and colon but nobody seems to know what is causing it. They know what it isn't, it isn't Crohn's disease or Ulcerative Colitis, I don't have ulcers, I do have a Hiatal hernia and GERD but here, take these pills and watch what you eat.

Sigh. Sometimes you just get so tired......

I use to take prilosec. I now take pantoprazole. Supposed to take it once a day. I only take it when my stomach bothers me.

small doses and gradually shift it upwards to avoid side effects, so this is the part pertinent to your symptoms... what dose does your Doc have you at?

The low dose. 250? I think?

If you have gastroparesis be careful. That is how ozempic works. Your stomach empties much slower.

Thanks!!! And yeah, I’ve walked totally past before in other stores so I know I can do it. It was only once, that I remember, but it still happened.

I had my gall bladder and my hiatal hernia fixed in one smooth move. About 7 tiny incisions that show only a slight scar fixed it all and no longer taking a Pepcid.

After getting the belt back on the mowing deck I mowed and I mowed. I did get hot mowing. Ma is outside doing chicken chores and told me that I'm not to get out of this chair before she gets back in. I don't think she liked my color when I cam back in. I think it was one of the times I looked like the ashes in the grill after doing burgers.

A big Amen to this. I'm terrified at what a pair of new hips and at least one new shoulder will cost.

Bouncing on the seat of that John Deere mower is very hard on my hips going over this hard ground. I don't realize how bad it is until I go to get off and try to walk.

Lucky you. Lost my gall bladder and appendix at the same time. Couldn't do the laparoscopy as I had huge gall stones so I have the big old nasty scar to prove my suffering. DH wants me to get a 'zipper' tattoo on it.

My hiatal hernia is small but I have the esophageal inflammation from GERD.

A friend told me when we retired that people retire so they can keep all their doctor's appointments.

She was right.

I just splurged if you can call it that. I have been looking for a Native American Nativity set. Had one once but sold it. Missed the danged thing like crazy. I just found one on Ebay for 9.99 and 12 something shipping. Different from the one I had but pretty nice. Only problem was that it has an angel with broken wings. I am certain I can repair/rebuild them without any problem so it looks like new.

I'm off to feed the chickens and gather eggs. Later guys.
