Granny's gone and done it again

Last Tuesday, before we left for a family reunion in Minnesota, I was attaching the wysteria to a copper wire hubby strung along the coop. I planted it there a few years ago to cover the south side of the coop to help make it cooler in there. I stepped backwards forgetting there was a short pipe stuck in the ground hubby used to make a fence across the flower bed there to keep the chickens out. I somehow hit the post with my left foot which made me go airborne and slammed down on my lower back, then my head hit the ground.

The next morning it was excruciating to walk but got in the trailblazer with hubby, 11 chicks I couldn't leave behind, 2 dogs, and towing the Scamp camper. We had a family reunion 6.5 hours away. I had a seat cushion to sit on and was fine. Just getting in and out is painful. We got back last night and things have not improved so went to the doc.

I didn't get my x-ray results yet, but the appt was this afternoon so suppose those take a while. I figure I must've fractured my tailbone or bruised it something awful. It's fine if I stand still, sit, or lay, but walking is painful.

So the moral of the story is, you don't even have to be silly out mowing in the heat if you do something stupid like I did to hurt yourself! ☺️
yikes! I hope you feel better soon

do it "lift and seperate" as well :p:lol:
No, just pretty much bruise and smash, thanks. 😆

Wow, @Debbie292d sounds painful! I cringed reading that! I hope it heals quickly. (My toes are still curled!)

@SourRoses , I read your spoiler before you deleted it and found it fascinating. I agree with others who have the gripe against conventional psychotherapy that it's virtually useless. Take your money, sit and listen. I was dx bipolar around 1993, and I can't tell you how many shrinks I went through ... They'd take a history on me over the course of several months, and about the time I thought we were getting well acquainted, building rapport, poof! They'd leave the area, get promoted or something. Back to Square One with a complete stranger! "Tell me a little about yourself." Seriously? It was excruciating going back over the same old same-old, over and over again! The only one that gave me any relief was the one that did some kind of eye-motion therapy. That really helped. And prayer, yes. And getting on the right meds.

Does it match this chart?

I just hope you feel better soon!

I read your "gold" comment to mom and she got a laugh out of it 😘
I didn't get a chart. I don't think. 0.25 and six needles. That's it.

Thank you. I'm hoping I'll feel better as my body gets used to it.

Lol, glad she enjoyed it.

Sorry for the quick delete... I babbled away and only after I posted it, re-read Capricorns post and realized what they were talking about was a little different. Oopsie!

I appreciate your willingness to share your struggle. Opening up like that can help others when you least expect it. At some point I started taking that idea a bit too far for other's comfort so I realized I needed to rein myself in just a little. It's hard to balance just right, you know? What's an overshare and what's a helpful share.
