Granny's gone and done it again

just hope it's allergies and not covid. We have friends who are fighting it out in PA. Daughter got it at work, she's a special ed teacher, she brought it home, mom got it then granny got it and now dad has it. Dad said that this is his second go round with it and this time it's really knocked him for a loop.
Oof, sorry to hear, Chick... here's hoping your family recover soon and uneventfully. I was hospitalized with that crap and don't care for a repeat. Got tested, waiting for results. I had the digestive version.

Have you tried rinsing your eyes with cold water? My Doctor Honey told me to try it and it does work with allergy eyes. Also try Pataday eye drops if you get too miserable. They are OTC without a script.
Oh yes, was up several times rinsing eyes. And peering into them with a mirror to see if Shinny had donated cat hairs into them, lol! Felt like tiny saw blades on fire but no, nothing. Dr just ordered me a Rx but the ins would not cover the $222 charge. However, the pharmacist found the exact same thing on the shelf for - are you sitting down? - $18!!! People can say what they do about big pharma but it looks to me like they are in bed pretty cozily with Big Insurance too. Have already put drops in my eyes and they feel better. Thanks!

DH told me to pass on that Benedryl can cause eye burning and dryness. It will help with allergy symptoms by drying up mucous so it also dries out your eyes.

That might be why your eyes are bothering you more.
Good point, thanks! I take it only very rarely. Like ... when Shinny sleeps on my face! 😆

:wootI'm negative for flu and Covid!
Me too. But now I'm having the run to the bathroom issue. Meds aren't working. I have to take them regularly as is since I had that c diff. I don't know what's going on. Head still way woozy.
Sorry Granny. I'm making You're thread a venting place. Glad I can. I don't want to complain too much to the kids.

Oh yeah they are all in bed together and screwing the American public

Yay! Bad enough dealing with allergies. I've had the eye itching so bad that I tell my husband that I want to pop my eyeballs out of my head so I can give them a good proper scratching. That doesn't impress him much, lol.

Right now the golden rod is bothering me. Back in IL I would be miserable when the corn and soybeans were pollenating. Got away from that here. We don't have any big fields of crops around us here like we did there but now I'm dealing with the hickory and oak trees when they bloom in the spring. Can't win.

And I got sunscreen running in my eye. 100: degrees out so we are swimming. Do you how miserable that is? I have some homeopathic eye drops I use when I have eye issues.
