The winds have picked up. I've never heard our house creak so much. Maybe because everything is cold and stiff?There is a pine grove across the road and the wind sounds like moans through those trees. Anything not tied down will fly away tonight. It's really stormy.

Be safe, farms! Areas around us are without power due to downed trees from this storm. Crews are racing to get everybody up and running as fast as possible.

I didn't think about that! We got a propane heater and a kerosene heater. I feel uneasy around here with all the trees. People tell me electric doesn't go off around here but... Infrastructure keeps aging and weather isn't controlled by us!
