Someone called again while I was sleeping asking tom questions about his breathing. Im not seeing it on the caller ID.  what is that , Like 5 calls already ?

Granny, is Tom feeling any better or is his breathing still real bad? Why did he get off the oxygen?

Well me and him use to be best friends until I did things even he wouldn't do. That ended our friendship lol

hahaha, never thought of that !  You know, My sweet Ol Tom did a year for knocking some old man in the head and taking his SS check.  He was a bad boy. I like em like  that ! LOL  (He was 18)

Hi Red, they don't give me morphine no more, horrible hallucinations & I got really mean while taking it. That's OK with me, hated how it made me feel. Can't take codeine products, they rip my stomach to shreds as well as many other pain meds.

that stuff is terrible on me too. They can keep it. I don't even like taking aspirin but I have to take meds. Granny it's horrible they won't give you meds that you need. If people wouldn't abuse them it'd be easier for the ones that really needs them to get them.

refresh my memory  PLEASE  should it be 95 or 90*  when you first put your chicks in brooder.??

They say 95 the first week, but I rarely do. They seem to overheat too quickly. Guess it depends on your style and placement of brooder.

X2 I go with 90° too.

Well, I never noticed a difference with his breathing to begin with. He has been like this for years. He is getting very dizzy though when he bends over or stands up. (blood pressure) that seems to be getting a little worse. He takes meds to raise his pressure.

Wishing is your back still in bad shape?

Hi Red. Satan? Scary. Only time I took codeine (for bronchitis) it did absolutely nothing. Not a single change. Still awake. Still coughing. After a week of constant coughing, I had high hopes, too. Didn't bother with it after trying 2 doses.


My back is not too terribly bad pain wise It's more that it has the potential to get much worse right now. We've been through this so many times, my hubs gets mad if I try to rush doing things, because it can get very bad. Crawling to the toilet is not fun, is it? Trying to avoid that. I washed my hair today, so just a little setback.

thank you   LOL it's a room   with a lot of heat lamps hanging down and an oil filled electric heat to help warm the room up.  

I do remember to drop the temp by 5* every week.   Just couldn't remember what they say to start at.  SIGH  I must be getting old. 

It happens to the best of us Twist. Good luck with your new chicks tomorrow, looking forward to the pictures. I think you need to invest in a tranquilizer gun & just get it over with, with the yaks. It's too scary with how large they are & you having not raised them their whole life. One bad move and you or someone else could be maimed or killed. We would all feel better here at grannys house if you just put them to sleep for a bit, then pulled the hairs you need for the DNA tests.
