I sat out there for an hr watching them eat. That was a lot of eggs. they were still at it when I came in this morning. I never went back. I didnt see the ducks go for it though . mama is doing good but as soon as she takes them outside to drink they will probably drown. I gave them a quart water inside but have big pans outside.

Back from picking up hubs and doing a little grocery shopping.  I'm also back lying down.  Had to wash my hair, necessary, but very hard on the back.  phooey.  Stomach bugging me too.


Granny, that's what the drs told us when my grandma needed morphine after surgery. If it is relieving pain, the person is not in danger of addiction. Unfortunately for her, it gave her horrible hallucinations that scared her.  Took me a long time to convince her that there were no creatures crawling out of the light fixtures and no dogs hanging from the tree outside!  Poor grandma.  I think mom asked them to give her something else.      


I'm grumpy too.  Feel terrible that hubs is fixing dinner as soon as he gets back.  Maybe I'll feel better after dinner. 

that's what codeine did to me. I spent an hour trying to get Satan to stop chasing me. Scaredest hour of my life.

Wish I was better company. Been laying here since Sunday. Brain is starting to decay. Or maybe it's the ibuprofen. I'm back up to 3 again. BUT, I have clean hair!

Hi everyone, lots of stuff happening on here. Granny, sorry you are struggling with your doctor. I hate doctors, used to be scared to advocate for myself, not anymore. I have a young female Dr. who I make sure to tell it how it is. In fact Tuesday I had a med check & she asked me what my exercise goals were for the summer. I proceeded to tell her that if God would have been nice to me, he would have made me like you, very tall & very thin. And that I didn't have a weight problem, but a height problem (I'm 5'2")

No serous I did tell her that, but I also added that because of my back problems I knew my limits. That I would be doing my normal summer stuff ~ mowing, gardening & canning and trying to deal with the pain those caused. That I knew I had a few pounds to lose, but being menopausal for over 24 years & taking tons of meds wasn't doing a thing for my figure. She commented that my blood pressure was up, I told her I'm sure it was because the nurse & I were discussing how nobody has a clue what menopause is really like unless they are going thru it or have gone thru it for over 20 years like her & I have. Sure enough doc rechecked blood pressure & it was ok.
