So grabbing the hen and using side cutters would be a no no then. She seems small big lungs tho a very good screamer. Finally had to hold her upside down so she would shut up. Kind of looks like she might have twisted her beak area other then it being a birth defect. Certainly didn't notice anything wrong when unpacking and making sure she drank and ate when I got them from the post office.

its not an injury twist, vitamin deficit maybe. It can be heredity.

Never thought of it like that but yes, we need at least one. But we all know what happens to them when they get out of hand .

Hi everyone I'm back!! Been a busy few days here over the pond. Bash the blue splash roo has gone to his new home on Sunday, but sad but he's got a lovely new home on a farm and it's only 5 mins down the road so I can pop and see him anytime.

Having a slug problem right now on an evening, there were hundreds of them over the last couple of nights. They are disgusting things :sick Have been killing them and sweeping well trying to sweep them up!! Stuck to the brush and shovel!! Had to resort to rubber gloves in the end to pick them up. I'm not a squeamish person or afraid to get my hands dirty but picking slugs with bare hands is ano for me.

bout time you got your slippery little butt back over here york. Salt ,is the answer. kills them and dries them up. flavors them for the chickens as well. !

I still have a big smile on my face. hahaaa I am afraid I wouldnt do well in a harem. neither would the rest of the peeps. wont hurt you to fantasize though .

try putting a ring of diatomasour earth around your plants. Also another good trip take a pie pan (glass is best) pour a can of beer in it and leave in garden. Slugs will by pass your plants for the beer and then drown themselves in it. Sort of like some people I know.
