Her mom had birds and her aunt would always ask was the cage door closed. If not she wouldn't come in. She thinks they're pretty but from a distance. She freak yesterday because of a humming bird in her garage.

That you for this idea. Can't wait til Halloween to go to pearls aunts house.
You're welcome.

I LOVE birds! I've always thought it would be wonderful to be a bird, with wings, that can fly. Kind of feel sad for the chickens sometimes.

We even have some in the house, but I much prefer the outdoor ones.

Oh they're pretty. I'd like to be a bird too sometimes. Imagine the scenery. I feel especially bad for my silkie. Sometimes her thinks he can fly. Runs around the yard flapping his wings. Then he runs into a tree or something.

Heck yeah!  But not because I'm afraid of birds.  I'm afraid of grown men dressing up in costumes for no reason.
:gig you'd be scared to death of a guy we have here. He thinks he's a country singer and rides his bicycle with a trailer behind carrying his guitar and equipment. Stands and hollers, not sing, in front of our wal Mart. Dresses up all the time. Sometimes even like Elvis.

Poor Silky! I came pretty darn close when I went hang gliding. It's very quiet up there, except for the wind. And the view is amazing! I was watching a hawk hunting along a hillside from 100 feet above it. Very cool. If you ever get a chance, you should go gliding. I still want to try it. Plane tows you to altitude and you glide down. Won't do hang gliding again. Too many people die.

For me it is a big hobby! I can Identify all the birds that live in the Mediterranean area of Israel by their call. ISRAEL is a land bridge like Gibraltar that connect Euroesia to Africa so we have million of birds migrating especially in Oatohm and spring.
That must be beautiful! We are on the Pacific flyway, from S. America to the arctic, but California is quite large, and some birds hug the coast while others use the central valley, so I don't get to see many new species without traveling a couple of hours. Anytime we travel out of the county, I take my field guides and binoculars, but still working out most of the resident species, and only know the calls of the birds that live in my yard! Right now I hear a Eurasian Collared Dove hooting (cooing?). They are relatively new here in their continuing quest to take over the world!! Do you plant in your garden to attract birds?
Yes I have a lot of flowering and fruiting Plants Now its the hight of the breeding time and I have this ones nesting in my garden: Native birds Invading birds
So pretty! humming bird?, wren?, and sparrow? invading collared parakeet and mynah bird? Am I close??? The blue hummer is beautiful!!
It is not a humming bird! It is a bird from the sun bird ,Nectarinea family ,Nectarina osea it's resembels to humming du to convergation evolution! The second one is a warbler (Prinia gracilis) And you are right about the rest! :thumbsup
