omg It is beautiful ! how old is it ? I wouldnt have the heart to cut it except maybe straight up from the hand rail down the walk.

I, for one, would want a wind break. In this county, there are low spots that get a steady wind off the ocean. Homesteaders planted rows of eucalyptus trees for wind breaks. They are huge now.
