And, because we are equal opportunity ethnic food eaters, he got some wonton soup too. Delicious!! He took #1 into town for errands, so I need to get things cleaned up around here before they get back. Too much chicken tv for me today. Those babies with the mama are just irresistible.

then in your wallet at least they would be handy or how about the glovebox of the van or does it need to be at a certain temp??

I do put them in the van and sometimes the heat makes them nasty. I dont know if they go bad or not. but there has been many times I have passed out in the stores or had to pull over driving then pass out. thats why no one lets me go anywhere by myself. Robert drove me home once !! We were on our own road though.

is she finally being a momma and not stuck in pancake mode ??
Yes! I had asked someone who uses broodies exclusively, and she thought is was part of the timing. They stay put of a couple of days after the chicks hatch to let them finish absorbing the yolk. Part of their programming. She's a very good mama. Acted like she was gonna kill me when I tried to pick up a baby. I moved her and the babies to a bigger pen on the ground. She was scratching and digging like a mad thing, but I was afraid for my life doing it. Mad as a wet hen ain't nothing compared to a broody mama hen!
