I hope this dr. finds something. Remember when I called my insurance to complain I cant get my meds ? they put me as a priority 24/72 hrs. That was a couple weeks ago and I havent heard from them yet. I called back once. Im about ready to hit the streets.

there are red mites all over the place here. they are on my porches, chickens , everywhere. Its a losing battle.
You have red mites?? On the chickens?? That's what's killing them! Get some flea spray for dog beds and carpet and stuff. Spray the roosts and the walls where the roosts attach and anywhere the chickens might touch. Do it early so it will dry completely before they get on it. For the chickens, ivermectin will kill mites when they bite. You will have to repeat the ivermectin after 7 days, to kill the newly hatched mites. I lost 2 hens to those evil creatures before I even noticed them!

5 Little Red Hens (Red Sex-link) & 1 big BCM rooster
Not but 3 kinds of snakes I'm afraid of; big ones, little ones, and live ones
Have Crappie rod, will travel
Call me Ken, call me Whites, call me Whitey, call me Red Dog; just don't call me late for supper

Well, if they are on your porch, maybe they are spider mites instead of roost mites. Those won't hurt the chickens, but not so great for garden plants.

You really only need to spray enough to keep the mites from crawling onto the roosts from wherever they are hiding. Just around the ends of the roosts should work. If a chicken leans up against a wall, you will have to spray a bigger patch there, since they will use the chicken as a bridge. If they can't get to the chickens, they will be safe.
