So I really liked your link but was confused about the difference between tomato and tobacco worm. What did I have ? I dont remember a red tail and can those sting ? I have seen those moths and I find them fascinating . I didnt see the worm again today but now I kinda want to go buy some tomatoes. LOL
So think yours is a tomato hornworm. It doesn't have black lining along the white stripes. One moth has 6 orange spots and the other (tomato) has 5 orange spots on its body. Gotta love entomology! https://entomologytoday.org/2013/12...ference-between-tomato-and-tobacco-hornworms/
