Well we just about lost a chicken. It was stuck upside down in the food pot. I have a an old bean crock I use for a feed bowl. I had starter crumble in it. Well husband walks by and the pullet is stuck head down in the crumble wedged in there can't get out. I don't know how it happened but we got lucky. I guess that crock isn't safe.

Oh gee, what a way to die! Close call. Good thing your hubs caught it. I use a 5 gallon bucket feeder with an oil pan bolted to the bottom for the feed to spill into. I keep a lid on the bucket, because, well, they're chickens. not that smart

I think maybe a young cockerel was trying to breed her while she was eating and wedged her in there. So weird.

Same ol pain is no good either. Another month before you go back to the pain clinic? It's obviously well named, that pain clinic, because they sure are leaving you in pain.

Woman is going to come tomorrow morning to get the EE. She has a 3 yr old son who is happy they are getting another boy chicken. I have an evil plan to get the boy to hold and fall in love with a Serama cockerel so they will take it home too!

been there. I used to find them with the bowl flipped on top of them . sometimes wouldnt know they were there unless the bowls wiggled or I missed seeing it.

Planted the 2 bigger ones in the ground and 3 tinys where I pulled a tomato plant up all in the same bucket. The hardest part was pulling that tomato up. Lost a tiny one somewhere.
