Yes they do, but they are such good shade cover for the chicken runs behind them.



Were they supposed to get that tall ?   I wish I had some of those maters. 
They are planted in some good chit. I always dress the beds with the chicken poop compost pile. Then it gets tilled in in the spring, but they were from jumbo sunflower seeds

I'm over-run with maters, but that's because we have 40ish plants, no shortage here.

I had 12  I let the hornworms eat. 
Craziest darn thing, never had a single tomato worm this year. Just every darn other bug. Have had king size man-eating grasshoppers that are eating the heck out of my maters & cukes.
