Sadistic fish poops!     People say after what I went through with #1, why did I have #2.  Figured it couldn't be any worse.  Best thing that ever happened to #1 was having #2.  He says it's not true, but we all know the truth! 

the second they lay that baby in your arms you forget all about that pain. Thats why.

I wish that were true for me.  I was in bad shape after he was born, and he was difficult, so that didn't help.  I was so swollen, felt like a whale and couldn't even get my shoes on after 3 days.  They said I must have been overly sensitive to the pitocin.  I bled for 8 weeks after.  They said it was because of my red hair.  My girlfriend the NICU nurse said of my very difficult prickly  #1, "These are the babies we hope the parents really love."    We did!!!   Still do.    But is was hard.

Same! My feet and legs were so swollen prior to labor with DD that I was wearing size 11-wide moccasins. After the induction and following c-section, 8 days later I was finally going home and couldn't wedge my giant feet into those 11-wide moccasins.

Did you have the high blood pressure too ? I gained 40 lbs with DS and lost 40. 8lb of baby and a whopping 32 lbs. of water.

I couldn't look at my feet and ankles. Freaked me out. Good thing there wasn't a mirror around either, because my face was bloated too. Oy!
