I wonder what lives down there..... Do mice make holes like that. Surprised the chickens didn't eat it.

voles or moles do and I have a yard full but I am not taking a closer look. Dont care if it is dead. LOL
chickens are tiny seramas . My big ones did in the other coop. Kind of glad I seen it because mice wont stay where there is a rat.

Wishing, I cant imagine needing a permit for a window. You do here for a deck, IF its attached to the house and no one bothers with them. I brought my buildings in and had one made here. We put them on runners . portable dont need permit. even though they wont ever be moved it is possible to. That makes me mad too. Its my land, my home.

Still not done with chores. It's getting hot out there!

Sarah (the assistant) has friends who are building a chicken coop. I said I'd give them everything in the tractor for $30: 3 roos and 6 pullets (probably). I'm tempted to say if they get them by Wednesday I'll do $25. I just need the tractor empty so I can move the silkie into it.

I understand there needs to be some rules and zoning laws so my neighbor can't build a slaughterhouse or an oil refinery next to my house, but they go too far. We did the research and know which windows are best and how to install them properly. We don't need oversight (the we have to pay for). Oversight doesn't work anyway, since the whole reason we needed to replace windows was that one wasn't installed properly when the house was built (with all permits and inspections) and had leaked and caused dry rot in the wall and floor.

I was going to list them as "trios" for $10. That's $5 for each "pullet" and a rooster for free! :lau Hopefully this will save me a step. :fl
