Hen #1, whose eyes were shut last night.

Hen #2 who first had bad coccidiosis and I fed her with a medicine dropper for almost a week. Not sure what's going on with her comb?

Rooster. Still scabby pox, but bright comb and wattles. Hard to take his picture because he was too busy chasing hens.

both bators, old and new thermometers all reading the same. 99.5 and 40% humidity. so i am hoping it is safe to do the swap. I am going to wait til lock down and that way the 3 wont have to be moved. just the turner and the new one. hopefully the new 3 too early to tell yet . i did talk to breeder and he stated they had been together in the same cage all their life. I am translating that into , boy i hope they are not brother and sister. how would i even know? I still dont know if they breed true or not. will i get all columbine or can some color be thrown in there ? I really am hoping for a calico.

well, i never seen anything like it. it looks bad. did you look in the mouth to see if it was wet pox ? eggsessive was talking about that. Its contagious we see. I would like to know myself whats going on.

I didn't have time to catch them before taking the kid to school. I'll catch them when I get home and give them the VetRX again. I have iodine for the pox on their combs. I'll check for the wet pox. Maybe @enola will pop in with some answers.

I would clean the eyes with fowl pox with saline, and put a tiny bit of either Terramycin or Neosporin ointment into them. If you have Vetericyn eye gel, that would work very well instead, but it is expensive, more than Terramycin. Those two are found at feed stores, and you may need to ask a clerk for the Terramycin since they lock it up, at least at my TSC.

How do I find saline? Dumb question, but is it the same as contact solution?

do what i do, ask the druggist for it. LOL I dont bother to look for stuff like that anymore because they have 50 different kinds. the druggist usually brings the cheapest to me.

Conact solution would probably work. I am not sure though. Maybe you should post pictures on the emergency thread.

I don't have any experience in treating any thing but coccidia, bumble foot and a stopped up crop which required surgery.
