LOL, right ? how do people get the biskits done when the gravy is ready?
I just don't make the gravy and the biscuits are made ahead and warmed up.

my family eats once a day and that might be a sandwich and snacks the rest of the day . even that is more then i can handle. we are overweight and i am sure if i would cook more often that would change but even at the health of my family i just cant. I cant plan meals in advance, I dont shop right for the meals i could make and half the time my boy wont even try the food. if it dont look right to him forget it. so why bother ?

what a fun day. went shopping all by myself. ( yes, i wore the boot) lol so i decided to buy another bator like mine for lockdown. now i am all kind of confused. they didnt have thermometers and i went to lowes where i knew they had them and i wouldnt have to walk. the garden was open and it was close. i found one out there an accu-something. the door wouldnt open for me and i had to walk around and find someone. of coure the door worked for him and another . so i walk up and it still wont work for me. guy lets me in. they have moved them. so more walking. i get busy looking and end up with the one i had seen outside. lol soo, i am finally home !! and yes, i forgot a battery for the thing but it dont matter. know why ? the incubator i bought was not like mine at all. they have changed them to digital. with the built in humidity reader. I is nicer then my older one so, question is WHICH one goes where ? do i move the eggs to the nicer one and save the old one for lockdown or visa versa ???

move the eggs to the new one and use the old one for hatching. You still need to use the thermometer to make sure your temperature is right. What is the brand name of your incubators.
they are the little giant styrofoam . I have a turner that works fine but i bought it at goodwill for 5 bucks and the (arms)? that go across are metal then the egg holders snap in to that and they are like rubber fingers sticking up. my old one is a little dial and i guess the new one is just set it and forget it kind of thing. I will have to take the eggs out of the turner to move them , move the turner , make sure every thing is right then put the eggs over there.

Got home tonight finally (been gone since Saturday afternoon) and one of my hens has both eyes crusted shut. I looked up coryza today and it's not like that, I'm pretty sure it's just from the pox.

I had someone checking on them for me, but she never said anything. Same sitter who lost one last time. I guess she's not very observant.

The hen had bubbles in her eyes Saturday before we left and I gave her the VetRX because it worked so well on the rooster. Maybe if I had been here the whole time to check on her. I'll just have to start in the morning with compresses. She's still spunky and doesn't want to be handled, so I guess that's a good sign.

welcome back ! hope you enjoyed yourself. sorry to hear of sick hen. did you read about CRD as well ? the mg can go a lot of different ways as far as symptoms . did you bring a new bird in ?

I just read about the CRD and I don't think it's that either. Her eyes aren't swollen, it just looks like the pox have pushed it closed. No other symptoms like coughing or sneezing.

These are the sussex, the newest birds I have, and I got them about a month ago. They weren't quarantined because even though my husband isn't the chicken keeper, he occasionally think he makes better chicken decisions. :/ I'm already mad at him and don't want to talk about that anymore.

I'll take pictures of her tomorrow for a better opinion.
